"I wish Stuart all the best with his British Isles Challenge journey and fundraising efforts. It may not be an expedition to the ends of the earth, but the venture brings its own very real challenges, and will certainly test him to the limits. I would urge anyone to support the trip as much as possible"

Messing about on the river

A quick trip up and down Ben Nevis yesterday (2h45) left Stu with the afternoon to fill in Fort William. What would you do in this situation, having already run up and down the highest peak in Scotland - A bit of sightseeing perhaps? A long lunch? No, a bike ride of course! Throw in a few additional miles for good measure :)
So after an 'easy' day yesterday, today has been the first of the three-day trip by kayak along the Caledonian Canal. Sounds to have been going well (no capsizing reported), and he has made it down the first leg in one piece and is camping alongside the canal tonight.
